Bishop Waymond L. Burton, Jr.

Bishop Waymond L. Burton, Jr. is the co-founder and Senior Pastor of Zina Christian Center a spirit-filled church in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Bishop Burton is the founder and president of Zina Enterprises, a for- profit business specializing in blank CDs, DVDs, audio cassette tapes and related accessories (www.zinaenterprises.com) He is also the founder and president of Ezra Conference Center, a division of Able Human Services, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) community development corporation. He was nominated for the 2005 Lamp Lighters awards for outstanding community service through Able Human Service, for serving thousands of people in the Raleigh community with food,
clothing and shelter for many years. He is also founder and president of WJB Ministries, another non- profit organization, designed provide economic development training and job displacement training. He is the vice-president of National United Freedom Alliance and is a partner in several other for profit business ventures. He also serves on the board of several other community-based organizations.
Bishop Burton previously served in the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship as a member of the Bishop’s council, Bishop of Economic Development and Regional Bishop of the Southern Atlantic Region, where he was the overseer of 200 churches. Bishop Burton has authored three books, one entitled Covenant Care Groups: A Guide to Establishing a Church Cell Group Ministry, Ministry of Helps and Church Administration and Managing God’s Finances in addition to many published articles. He is currently working on two new books one entitled Economic Development and the 21st Century Church and the other You Can’t Take Lot with You to be published in the fall of this year.
He has traveled extensively in the United States, the Caribbean’s and East Africa preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom.
Bishop Burton has a very strong teaching anointing and many lives have been changed through the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He graduated from St. Augustine College and later attended graduate school at North Carolina State University. He is also a graduate of the Bread of Heaven Bible Institute. Bishop Burton and his wife Co- Pastor Jacquelyn Burton are parents of Pastor Waymond III and wife Camille, Jeneen Baret and her husband Franklin and Jacquelyn Nicole Burton. He has five (5) grandchildren.
